A CNG Mother Station (primary CNG fuelling station) is a professional gas compression and filling facility that directly extracts natural gas from urban or industrial natural gas pipelines. It completes gas filtration, dehydration, purification, pressurization and filling processes, and mainly supplies high-pressure CNG to CNG long tube trailers and container bundles for transportation to CNG daughter stations and end users. It is the core upstream facility of the CNG gas supply chain.

The core difference lies in the gas source and operational function. CNG Mother Station obtains gas directly from natural gas pipelines, with complete compression and purification systems, responsible for large-scale CNG production and container filling. CNG Daughter Station has no pipeline gas source, relying entirely on CNG transported by tank trailers to refuel vehicles. Mother stations are suitable for large-scale gas supply hubs, while daughter stations serve decentralized terminal fueling scenarios.

CNG Mother Stations are widely used in urban gas supporting projects, industrial park gas supply, remote area gas distribution, and commercial CNG operating projects.
